Description
Artificial Meteors is an audiovisual work composed of footage of contrails collected across Europe and Taiwan. These traces in the sky are assembled into a moving image piece, accompanied by voice recordings from interviews with people from different regions in Europe, alongside an original sound composition.
The work focuses on contrails as a visual metaphor for “artificial meteors” — transient marks that appear within the frame and gradually disappear. Through this recurring presence and absence, the piece reflects on the temporal nature of existence, where images, thoughts, and human connections continuously emerge and fade over time.
